Patchogue Business Launching Open Mic

Country Kitchens Patchogue is looking to host an open mic series at its East Main Street location.

Country Kitchens on East Main Street in Patchogue is looking to join Patchogue's robust open mic circuit by hosting an open mic night of its own. To that end, the popular eatery is calling on local talent to sign up for a showcase.

On Patch's boards yesterday, Country Kitchens called out to artists of all ages who wish to participate on Saturday nights. The location is looking to hold the series on the first Saturday of every month, so the next open mic would be held on Feb. 7.

A representative for Country Kitchens told Patch they have had singers, guitarists and keyboarders up to the microphone, but would even welcome aspiring poets to come and read. As the year gets into spring, the business will begin to hold the open mics every week.

Anyone interested in performing at the open mic should fill out the contact information on Country Kitchens' website, or call (631) 654-3641.
