Richard York Shoes Turns 85

was recently featured in for reaching a milestone of 85 years in business.

The store, located at 14 South Ocean Avenue in Patchogue, is run by owner Richard Siegel.

Siegel told the Advance that he has been running the store with the same tried-and-true formula.

“Not too much has changed; it's the same old formula, fit good, feel good and look good.” Siegel says in the story.

Siegel is featured in the story for his patience and dedication to his customers, even one so indecisive that she asked him if she can try out an unpurchased pair at home.

“As long as you only test them in the house,” Siegel responded to her.
