PV Board Meeting Summary: Budget and AA5 Top Items

No video but as is now our practice the Campaign for Open Village Government is providing summaries of top items decided at the PV Board of Trustee meetings as a public service immediately after the meeting.

1. The Board voted itself the power to exceed the two percent tax cap when it later considers approving the Village 2014-15 budget if it needs that power when it reaches its final decision on the budget.
2. The Board set 4-7-14 for a public hearing on the proposed budget for 2014-15. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. that date.
3. The Board approved extending the time for Alive at Five to 9:30 p.m but limited outdoor amplified music to stop at 9:15 p.m.

The Campaign has also obtained a copy of the draft budget for 2014-15 and will post a copy of the budget draft imminently. Notice will appear on the Patch and via our Facebook page (Patchogue Village Citizens for Open Village Government) when that document has been posted.
