The Quilt Project was founded as a response to the murder of Ecuadorian immigrant Marcelo Lucero. A group of quilters created
a large triptych dedicated to the memory of Marcelo Lucero and themes of peace, unity, harmony and healing. The Patchogue-Medford Library staff and The Pilot Club have each created a quilt as well, and all three projects are to be unveiled to the community.
