The Re-dedication of Lance Cpl. Richard Kaler's headstone is scheduled for November 19 at 12:00 noon, at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Patchogue (Same road as Patchogue Fire Department) The original headstone noted the Marine's Purple Heart Medal but not his Navy Cross. The new headstone has both. Local Elective Officials, AMVETS Post 111, American Legion Post 269, VFW Post 2913 and Patchogue Fire Department will attend. Lance Cpl. Richard Kaler grew up in Patchogue and attended Patchogue Medford School.
