Casting My Vote for Christine Rignola for Pat-Med BOE

Resident supporting Rignola.

In these hard economic times, the children of Patchogue Medford need a voice. There are certain members of the current Pat-Med board that are apparently there for their own personal and political gains and DO NOT have the best interest of all the children in mind.

Christine Rignola will be that voice that we need. She is running for the Patchogue- Medford BOE because she cares about all of the families in the district. She is a mom and a teacher, not a politician. In her years that she has been employed by the Patchogue- Medford School District, she has made a difference in many young lives. People throughout the district have only good things to say about her as an educator and a person. Mention her name and you will hear comments such as "she is great, my son had her as a teacher, when his teacher was on leave" or " she was so wonderful, I wrote a letter of recommendation to the superintendent about her". Children from the elementary, middle and high schools gravitate toward her. They are comfortable talking to her and giving her "high fives". She is patient and does not give up. She is attentive to her students' needs. They know she is genuine and really cares. I feel she would be a great asset to this community as a Board member. You can find her on the baseball fields, at homecoming festivities and float- building sites. She attends track meets, toy drives, school concerts and parades. Why? Because she loves this community. She is involved in her childrens' lives as well as the lives of our children too. She cheers them on, one and all.

Calling out to all Patchogue- Medford residents....it is time to have a caring and concerned educator on our Board of Education. Christine Rignola is for all of the children of this district, not just a select few. We need people with integrity to serve for our children, they deserve it. It is time the Patchogue- Medford community takes back control of the schools. Who better to "sit"on the Board of education then someone who has the actual on the job experience. She is not a contracted teacher and does not receive a "teacher's salary or benefits". She does what she does because she loves doing it. Ms. Rignola's position as a substitute teacher has enabled her to become familiar with every building and virtually every student in the district. We need someone who knows what is taking place within the schools on a day to day basis. She knows what is working and what needs improvement. Our children do not need lawyers and engineers running their school district. They need a caring individual , a parent, an educator, a person who is going to represent the community. She would like to bridge the gap between the Board and the families of the district. Let's open the lines of communication and move forward in the right direction. For more info please visit Vote Rignola on Facebook.
