Talk Back: Village Noise Issues

Overly loud noise has been a recurring subject at Patchogue Village Board of Trustees meetings, what are your thoughts?

Louder-than-comfortable noise levels for Patchogue Village residents that live along the river and Great South Bay near restaurants are a recurring subject brought up during the public comment section at Patchogue Village Board of Trustees meetings.

A Facebook group for Patchogue Riverfront Residents was even recently formed in part to organize residents about the subject.

Do you find noise levels in your neighborhood to be entirely too loud? Vote in our poll and then talk about it in the comments section below.

While I love music, some of the waterfront restaurants have PA systems that are just too loud. This is an intrusion on the peace of the River. It is interesting, if I played my stereo that loud, the Police would be by in 5 minutes... but a restaurant can Blast music at decibel levels that are unsafe and get away with it... just about every night! wonder why??

Totally out of control... there needs to be limits where, are the people in charge of the town. I guess they are not in ear shot and losing sleep over this problem. Our homes are suppose to be a safe place a place to regroup and find peace. People live on and around the river and we are forcing them away. The village is not doing what we voted them in to do... Why?????

Not according to Uncle Paulie.....it's his village...period. Hey, anyone ever investigate why private marinas were permitted to extend their docks towards the middle of the river by Mr Gas Can? That is Village owned river bottom.....not one dime paid to the Village for this. Just another wink and a nod by that crook.
