"Zumba for a Cause" at St. Joseph's College for Special Olympics!

On May 1st from 7-9 PM, the Sisters of Kappa Beta Gamma International Sorority, are hosting a very important event at St. Joseph's College! We will be hosting "Zumba for a Cause." This event will be held in the St. Joseph's College Gym, "The Danzi." To participate in the event, it will be $10 at the door. There will be two instructors, Joy VanAxen and Lisa Galasso, each receiving 45 minute time slots of instruction. In between each instructor, enjoy refreshments! We will also be having a Chinese auction with awesome raffles and prizes! All proceeds from this event will go wards our International Philanthropy, Special Olympics.

Kappa Beta Gamma makes great things happen not only in its members’ lives, but also in the lives of many disadvantaged people around the world. We take immense pride in our efforts to build and strengthen community service initiatives that reach out to those near and far.  Each year, every chapter across US and Canada holds events to raise money for the Special Olympics.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
