Christine Belmont placed her husband on her firm's payroll for over a year.

A Patchogue bookkeeper was sentenced Wednesday to three to nine years in state prison for stealing over $664,000 from her employer, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Christine Belmont placed her husband, Michael Belmont, on the payroll of her employer from March 2009 to April 2010. Michael Belmont has since passed away. Belmont’s employer was the Combined Container in Wyandanch, which her husband never worked for.
