Brady Hearing Adjourned Until July 27

Wife of suspected pharmacy killer absent from court Wednesday.

The next court date for Melinda Brady, suspected of driving the getaway car in last month's pharmacy in Medford, will be on July 27. 

, 29, did not appear in a Central Islip court Wednesday morning during a hearing on the case, which was immediately adjourned.

Brady, who grew up in Sayville, is currently being held on charges of robbery and obstructing governmental administration stemming from the June 19 killings of four people inside Haven Drugs. Prosecutors have said those charges are "very likely" to be upgraded.

David Laffer, Brady's husband, was by a grand jury on five counts of murder, including one charge for mass murder. Police say the 33-year-old shot two employees and two customers at the drugstore on Father's Day and then took off with prescription painkillers.

Laffer and Brady were arrested at their Medford home following an intensive manhunt three days after the shootings.
