LIE Traffic Stalled By Overturned Vehicle

Traffic is diverting off the westbound side of the Long Island Expressway onto the service road and Route 112 at exit 64 in Medford due to a car accident that occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. Eastbound traffic is unaffected.

According to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department, a dark green Jeep was driving westbound between exits 63 and 64 when it veered off the highway and overturned.

The driver was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center.
