Man Fatally Shot in Gordon Heights
Charles Wilson was shot while driving after dropping off mother.
A man was fatally shot Sunday night while driving in Gordon Heights after dropping off his mother, according to Suffolk County Police.
Charles Wilson, 27, was shot in his left side at 9:40 p.m. while driving in the vicinity of West Lane. Attempting to return to his mother's house, Wilson collided into a pickup truck parked in a resident's driveway on West Lane.
Wilson was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead at 11 p.m.

Additional information was not available from Suffolk County Police because of the holiday weekend.
Suffolk County Police homicide detectives are continuing the investigation.
