A Farmingville teen was seriously injured in what police are calling a hit-and-run incident that took place on Blue Point Road early Saturday morning.

Police said they responded to a 911 call that a pedestrian was lying in the roadway in Farmingville. Upon arriving on the scene, police found the teen, whose identity has not been released.

The victim sustained a head injury and was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital by Farmingville Fire Department Rescue and was listed in stable condition as of Saturday morning.

Police said the suspect fled northbound on Blue Point Road and is believed to have front end and headlight assembly damage.
