Patchogue Man Arrested for Fraud

Former tree service worker accused of stealing from customers.

Gary Descisciolo of Patchogue was arrested Monday for allegedly defrauding former tree service customers.

Suffolk County Police arrested the former Long Island Lumberjack Tree Service employee for obtaining money from former customers by telling them he had a personal emergency and was in urgent need of cash.

He promised to pay the customers back quickly, but he never did.

Descisciolo, 47, of 16 Country Club Drive, was charged with 14 counts of petit larceny, one count of attempted petit larceny and one count of scheme to defraud. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 30.

Descisciolo may have attempted this scam on more than 40 former customers.
