Police Chase Man Throughout Patchogue

20-year-old charged with weapon possession, police said.

A man was pursued by police, including aviation and K9 units, throughout Patchogue late Wednesday night before being arrested in a Patchogue motel, Suffolk County police told Patch.

According to police, Brandon Wilson, 20, fled on foot from officers performing a traffic stop on Sunrise Highway at Clubhouse Road in Patchogue at 10:40 p.m. Police say Wilson eluded police units for several hours, but was finally found at a motel in Patchogue and arrested without incident.

Wilson has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree for a knife seen tossed aside while he was being pursued, as well as other warrants police said.
