An East Patchogue man who was arrested after speeding through a Bellport school zone Thursday morning was found to have had his driver's license suspended or revoked 30 times, police said.
Eric Mann, 41, was observed by police driving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee at a high rate of speed in a school zone on Station Road at approximately 8:30 a.m. Police say that after pulling the driver over, they determined through further investigation that his license had been suspended or revoked a total of 30 times.
Mann was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, which is a felony, and was issued a summons for speeding in a school zone.
Mann will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct in Patchogue and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
