Police Report: Assault and Burglary

Arrests and incident reports in Patchogue and Medford from March 1.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Patchogue

Kenneth Merrill, of Holbrook, was arrested in Patchogue on March 1 and charged with criminal trespassing in the third degree involving enclosed property.

An incident of harassment in the second degree involving a group of teenagers verbally threatening a 14-year-old was reported on Amity Street in Patchogue on March 1.

An incident of burglary in the second degree was reported on Laurel Street in Patchogue on March 1.

Medford

John Cortez, of Medford, was arrested in Medford on March 1 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Kyle Fowler, of Medford, was arrested in Medford on March 1 and charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree.

Andrew Vitiello, of Medford, was arrested in Medford on March 1 and charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree.

Mohammad Iqbal, of Medford, was arrested in Medford on March 1 and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Anthony Brown, of Coram, was arrested in Medford on March 1 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree with three or more prior suspensions on record.

An incident of harassment involving the assault of one’s wife was reported on Route 112 in Medford on March 1.
