Two Burglarize Medford Home

Suspects pose as gas company workers.

A Medford home was robbed by two men posing as utility company employees Monday reported Suffolk County Police.

At approximately 11:20 a.m., the suspects went to a home on Boston Street claiming to its residents that they were from a gas company. Forcing their way into the home, they assaulted two male residents, stole cash from them and left the premises said police.

One victim was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was treated and released said police.

Police did not disclose the amount of money taken.

The investigation is ongoing.
