Great South Bay Music Festival, LI Growers Market Returning for 2012

Both Patchogue events will return this summer.

The and the seasonal will both return to Patchogue Village this summer, as they were both approved at Monday's Patchogue Village Board of Trustees meeting.

The music festival will return July 13-15. James Faith, one of the organizers of the festival, came to Monday's meeting and announced that the festival recently was voted as best festival on Long Island in a Long Island Press poll and that the festival brings in 10,000 people to Patchogue every summer to .

Trustee William Hilton also announced that the festival has been very successful for the Village as well, as around $10,000 is collected from gate receipts, which more than covers all expenses of the festival.

Additionally, The Long Island Grower's Market will again be held on Fridays from July to November in the parking lot at the intersection of Rider Avenue and East Main Street. The market will run from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., featuring produce from several local farms.
