Medford Athletic Complex Getting Wifi

Medford Athletic Complex, on Horseblock Road between Route 112 and Ohio Avenue, is one of eight Brookhaven Town locations that were approved to get wireless internet hotspots as part of a five-year contract to Cablevision approved at Tuesday's Town Board meeting.

The WiFi spots are free for residents that subscribe to the Optimum Online serivce, and are restrictedly free for non-customers by allotting three daily 10-minute increments a month or $5 a day.

Certain Brookhaven Town webpages will be available for free regardless of service tier.

Other locations in Brookhaven Town getting wireless internet connections include the Parks Administration Building in Centereach, Brookhaven Calabro Airport, Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center in Blue Point, Heritage Park in Mount Sinai, Mastic Pool and Skate Park, Rose Caracappa Recreation Center in Mount Sinai and West Meadow Beach in Stony Brook.
