Monday night Board meeting: a very full agenda. Public please note that there will be several chances for the public to be heard at this meeting. There are two public hearings that will be probably be heard soon after 6 p.m. and then at the end of the scheduled business the public to be heard portion of the agenda occurs. Any resident of the village can then address the Board on any matter of concern. There is a public hearing on whether the village will be permitted to pierce the two percent tax cap. Following that a public hearing a new law change the purpose of which is to make it more difficult for rental owners to claim, without a high degree of proof, that residents living in their home are related to them. The goal of the changed law is to make it easier for the village to crack down on rental situations where large numbers of persons appear to be residing in a home in violation of rental limits. In addition Level G will be reporting on phase one of the village's long term parking improvement strategy. Phase one is a new plan designed to better organize sinage in the village and to better identify parking areas too so that any person coming into the village will be able to find parking quickly. This phase does not call for new parking spaces. It is a plan to better use existing parking. In addition a Board discussion and vote on awarding a five year license to the promoters of the Great South Bay Music Fesitival. Plus Trustee and other reports will be heard.

Why do we have a tax cap if everyone is always looking to overide it!! They really need to look at the idea that they are pushing more and more of us out when they are raising taxes all the time. I'm not just talking about the village, but a add them all up. I don't get enough of a raise that can cover that amount. Where is the help for the taxpayers in Suffolk county???? And the services seem to be less and less, where does all the tax raises go? I don't see it. We keep getting more businesses to help shoulder the tax burden(or do we, I think they are probably getting deals to defer their taxes, but the residents don't ever get relief. Something wrong with this picture.

And how do they have the nerve to even discuss piercing the cap when they just gave the mayor a new car and the village attorney a fat raise on top of his already fat cat salary? Like pigs at the trough...

Extending the sewer for residents at the end of River is cover for the real reason.....Dublin Deck is overflowing with Turds. This place being allowed to exist by the Village is a case study in small town political corruption. One day a crate with an empty beer bottle in a boat storage yard, enter the new admin, the next a booming nightclub destroying the peace of the community, not to mention drunks speeding down river and the ever present SCPD responses with sirens blasting. you cant take a cesspool designed for two toilets and dump tons of poo poo and pee pee into it like the Harbor Crab did until someone saved them with a free sewer hook up. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what would happen. Now TIKI wins based on the fact our Village Leaders allowed this to happen and set a standard for future businesses. There is a very sharp lawyer who has represented these crooks who makes his living off of the idiotic decision making by these hacks. And he will exploit it to the max, as he has done his entire career.
