Village Parking Meter Public Meeting Set For July 22

A public hearing to present Patchogue Village's parking meter plan is scheduled for the July 22 Patchogue Village Board of Trustees meeting.

Deputy Mayor Jack Krieger said at Monday's Patchogue Village Board of Trustees meeting that the parking committee had their first meeting last Wednesday, during which Krieger said the committee came up with some plans for the meters due to come into effect this Fall.

Krieger said a community meeting will also be taking place at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts at a yet-to-be-determined day and time to present the parking meter plan before they go live.

Currently the meters are estimated to be installed at the Main Street, South Ocean Avenue and Church Street parking lots in August before going live after Labor Day weekend.

The July 22 meeting will take place at Patchogue Village Hall at 6 p.m.
