Newsday Endorses Rob Calarco for Suffolk County Legislator

Rob Calarco has been endorsed by Newsday as having what it takes to be the next legislator for the 7th Legislative District.

PATCHOGUE – Rob Calarco, Democratic Candidate for the 7th Legislative District, earned Newsday’s endorsement over Republican John Giannott:

“The difference is Calarco -- who has a master's degree in public administration and has been Eddington's chief of staff for six years -- has a better grasp of the complexities of the issues and what it takes to get things done,” wrote the Newsday editorial board.  “But Calarco has the edge in political savvy and experience with the range of issues affecting this diverse district. Newsday endorses Calarco.”

“I want to be elected legislator to continue fighting for our families and to ensure our tax dollars are spent wisely,” said Rob.  “I am honored that Newsday recognizes me as the best person for the job and I will be working hard over the next 8 days to get out the vote in the 7th legislative district.”
