Pat-Med Girls Bowling Opens New Season With Victory

Team has its sights set on a possible League I title.

The Pat-Med Raiders girls bowling team returns their top four scorers from last seasons playoff team, including new county record holder for average, 12th grader Jessica Calandra [222Avg].

Jessica set many records last season, and looks to lead Pat-Med back to the county playoffs again this season. Also returning for the Raiders are rising star 9th grader Brittany Arne [177Avg], 11th grader Jennifer Arocho [168Avg] and 12th grader Deanna Martin [155Avg].

Rounding out this seasons team are four returning bowlers looking to make an impact this season, led by 11th grader Kayla DeScetto, 12th grader Sabrina Roth, and two 10th graders Alexis Martinek and Destiny Molina. The future looks bright for Pat-Med bowling, as five newcomers joined the team this season, three 9th graders, Caroline Holochwost, Maria Andrade and Meghan Callahan and two 8th graders, Liz Marge and Samantha Rossi.

The team is making great strides towards a possible League I championship and another county playoff. 

The Pat-Med Raiders won their first game of the 2012-13 season, defeating Smithtown 3-0. The Raiders were led by Jennifer Arocho's 571 series and 211 high game, Sabrina Roth's 553 series and career high game 221 and Kayla Descetto's career high game of 200. Arocho and Roth swept all their points in this League I match-up.
