Reminder: Pat-Med Schools Open This Week
Time lost from Hurricane Sandy, blizzard takes away winter break.
Patchogue-Medford School District posted a bulletin on its website reminding that school will be in session Tuesday, Feb. 19 through Friday Feb. 22 despite the previously planned winter break.
Due to the numerous days lost from Hurricane Sandy and the recent winter storm, it is necessary for the district to hold classes on these days.
The district also said that additional days may be taken from the spring recess scheduled for March 25-29, should there be a need to cancel more school for weather related emergencies.
