Reminder: Raiders Girls Soccer 'Kicks For Cancer' Game Friday

Game taking place at the high school starting at 6 p.m.

Patchogue-Medford Varsity Girls Soccer's "Kicks for Cancer" game against Sachem East is taking place at Patchogue-Medford High School Friday at 6 p.m.

As previously posted, the fundraiser is sponsored by the Suffolk County Girls Soccer Coaches Association. The 2011 edition raised over $1,100 for the Making Headway Foundation, the American Cancer Society, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the American Lung Association and other various Cancer Research Foundations.

Chris Grieco, the team's coach, said in a Patch event post that the team's goal for this year is $1,500.

At the event there will be raffles, baked items for sale, pink cancer support bracelets and Raiders T-Shirts with 100 percent of the proceedings going to the fundraiser.
