River Annual 5K Run

The River 5k has become the G O T O race on the first Sunday in May! This year the PTA felt compelled to raise some money for one of our 1st Grade students, Brian Ilg, who was born with a devastating genetic disease called Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). The disease causes the skin to blister and break causing wounds similar to those suffered by burn victims. With skin as fragile as a butterfly wing, EB patients have been dubbed, "Butterfly Children". Over time, these wounds have produced scars that have caused deformities to Brian's hands and feet.  Brian needs to go to Cincinnati Childrens Hospital to have surgery on his hands to help restore some of their function. If you wish to help Brian, in addition to the entry fee for the race you, can indicate on this form if you would like to purchase a butterfly for Brian in any $ amount is great! Your name will be written on the butterfly and it will be hung in the gymnasium on race day.  The PTA will present Brian and his family these donations at the post race ceremony.
