The Varsity and JV teams raised $325 this year, through fundraising efforts at their "Play For A Cure" games on Oct. 13 at Patchogue-Medford High School.

Each player made and sold baked goods and other refreshments at the games Saturday. This year they chose the "Good Samaritan Foundation" as the charity to donate the proceeds to. This organization assists families affected by breast cancer. As in years past, the girls decorated the stadium in pink, played with a pink ball, and wore special pink uniforms in honor of the event and all those affected by breast cancer.

The game was vs North Babylon, who the Raiders previously beat 3-0 earlier in the season, but this time around the regulation 60 minute game ended in a 0-0 tie, sending the girls into 7 v 7 overtime. But just 40 seconds into overtime, Gabby Bianco scored off a pass from Emily Michaels to score for the Raiders, ending the game in a 1-0 win!
