Raiders Football Takes On William Floyd At Playoffs

Raiders previously beat the Colonials at their September match this season.

Patchogue-Medford Raiders varsity football have made the playoffs and will be facing off against William Floyd Colonials Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Lincoln Avenue Sports Complex in Mastic Beach for the qualifying round.

Earlier this season the Raiders were able to upset the Colonials 31-7, an accomplishment that earned their coach, Gary Marangi, the New York Jets High School Football Coach of the Week award.

The Raiders are going into this game with a 5-3 record with losses to Connetquot, Northport and Sachem North. All three of those teams have also made the playoffs and have qualifying rounds on Friday.
