Event Planning?

Summertime is party time when we trade our coats for baiting suits and enjoy a little down time.  Whether it’s holiday Bar B Qs, showers, graduations or weddings there is always something to celebrate, but it is how we celebrate that is important.   Your theme and accessories determine whether your event is a party or gala. and here’s how you can tell the difference.  If the paper plates, napkins and balloons are color coded and the host is wearing an apron, it’s a party… if there is a buffet with servers and everyone is wearing dress shoes, it’s an event… If everyone is dressed to the nines and a wait staff is walking among you offering canapés chances are you are in a gala environment. However, by changing or adding of a few simple things can cost effectively step up any event.

For example: When planning a wedding that is hiring a videographer we suggest this favor…  We mold a chocolate CD and place it in clear CD case….take a photo of the couple, trim it in a circle and secure it to the inside of the CD case…. On the back of the case will be a message from the bride & groom telling everyone to enjoy the chocolate but save the case as they will soon be receiving a CD of the wedding and festivities. You will only need one CD per family which cuts the number of favors in half and if you want to save even more you can do the pictures and stickers yourself and only pay for the chocolate and cases.  With the money you have saved here you can place a formal platter of cookies and chocolate covered pretzels in the center of each table.  This simple change has given more glamour and created memories your guests will have forever. Now you have stepped it up.
