The 7th Annual River 5k run took place Sunday at .
This year's race helped fundraise for Brian Ilg, a first-grade student, who lives with a genetic disease called Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa, said race organizer Dina Underwood in an she posted to Patch.
The race brought in 135 entrants and a check for $16,234 was presented to Ilg and his family at the event.
