Photos: Swirls and Twirls Opens in Patchogue
New yogurt franchise raises $1,167 for the Patchogue-Medford School District PTA.
New frozen yogurt shop, Swirls and Twirls, opened their newest Patchogue location on Friday with a fundraiser for the Patchogue-Medford School District PTA Council.
The franchise took half of the proceeds from its first-day sales and gave $1,167 to the PTA organization said owner Joe Sala.
"A big part of our business is going to come from the families and students of Pat-Med, so we wanted to give back," Sala said.

He also said the store would be open to any other potential fundraising opportunities with the district.
The store is located at 394 Sunrise Highway in the Waldbaum's Shopping Center.
