Documentary Screening, Chamber Committee Meeting This Week In Patchogue

Documentary Film: The Act of Killing
On Monday, the Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center is screening this chilling documentary whereby death squad leaders in a chaotic war-torn country act out their mass murders in American movie-style fashion. Screening starts at 7:30 p.m.

Civic Committee Meeting
The Business Promotions Committee, an arm of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, will meet on Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Business Promotion Committee "assists in promoting the Patchogue area and the businesses within-making Patchogue a more active and fun place to shop and visit," according to the Chamber's description. 

Alumni Association Dinner
The Suffolk Community College Alumni Association is holding its 11th Annual Fashion Show and Scholarship Dinner on Thursday night at the Hyatt Regency Long Island on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge. Tickets to the dinner are $45 and proceeds go to the alumni association to continue its scholarship program.

Patchogue-Medford Football
The Patchogue-Medford Raiders continue to raid Division I, after a dominating 49-21 victory over Ward Melville this past weekend. This week, The Raiders head to Lindenhurst to take on the Bulldogs at 6 p.m. Patchogue-Medford is 3-1, midway through the season.
